Speech Finals
Well done to our speech finalists who did an amazing job this morning with some very convincing speeches!
Ethan explained why children should be in charge and not us adults, Very funny Ethan.
Grace convinced us why children should be able to leave school at the age of eight. Her examples and children's language warmed our hearts.
And the winner is....Isla! Isla entertained us all with all the reasons why being the oldest child in the family is the best.
Please make Nate's dream come true and make hamsters legal in New Zealand!
Nate supported his argument with some well thought out reasons. Well done Nate.

Our Class Meeting
Each Wednesday we have a Class Meeting where we discuss playground issues and help support the children in resolving any conflicts that may have arisen. The children all share their ideas to help solve any problems. Today we wrote some rules to support the children in the playground.

Speech Time
We've been working hard in Kauri planning for writing a persuasive speech. Here is the checklist the children will be using in class....
It would be a great help if you could support your child at home to find some facts to support their arguments.
